What a success! PES held its inaugural STEM Day on May 23rd for our Kindergarten through 2nd graders. Students engaged in thrilling activities like creating foil boats to hold pennies, building the longest paper chains, and racing in a cup stacking relay. So much fun, so much learning! Congrats to our champions! 🏆







We celebrated National Speech Pathologist Day on May 18th! PES and PCUSD are incredibly fortunate to have the dedicated expertise of Mrs. Aberle and Mrs. Ade.. We also want to express our sincere appreciation to Marissa Kile and Tess Spengler, who have expertly covered for Mrs. Ade during her maternity leave over the past several weeks. Your contributions are invaluable! Thank you for helping our students thrive! 🙌


🎉 Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner! 🐟 PJHS 6th grader, Gayvn Presnell, caught a massive 3.75 lb bass on today's field trip! Way to go, Gayvin!

PES hosted its first STEM Day yesterday afternoon for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders! Congratulations to our winners: Paper Airplanes: For the farthest and straightest flight! Golden Noodle Award: For constructing the tallest freestanding tower with spaghetti, tape, string, and a top marshmallow! Bolt Robot Relay Winners: Mrs. Maxedon, Ms. Bratcher, Mrs. Reiss. Well done, future innovators!

Forms are now open to submit your license plate choices for the fundraiser in which plates are displayed from October 1 - November 30, 2025. Mrs. Mathis' 4th graders were given a Hot Wheels challenge today! They had a set amount of time to construct a track for their Hot Wheels car that would produce the greatest distance from the track. Students worked hard and created great tracks! The winning team's car traveled 17ft, 5in after leaving their track!

Mrs. Schutt's 6th grade gardening group had a fantastic time at the Missouri Botanical Gardens in St. Louis on Monday. This group has worked worked together all year to maintain our PJHS garden. 🌸🪴

PES 4th and 5th grade students have been having tons of fun in the library with author Jeff Kinney and his well-loved series, "Diary of a Wimpy Kid." 📚Students have previewed the book series, created new book covers, and are comparing and contrasting events from the book to the movie!


🏅✨ 🏅 PJHS students are going for the gold in the Academic Olympiad! Each grade will face off in mystery activities over the next few days. Who will triumph? 🏆💪



🐦📚 ✨ After starting their Pigeon Book adaptations back in December with storyboards, PJHS 6th graders now crafting their final published copies! Can't wait for everyone to read these creative stories showcased at the Curriculum Fair, May 22nd @ 5:30-7:00pm! 🎉💖
