🥇The Frindle Files Choice Board Contest was a great success! PJHS students submitted very detailed art work and well-written responses to specific prompts. The judges were blown away by the quanity and quality of work from PJHS students and their families! There was one winner per grade level. Each winner received a family certificate to be used at a local business.

Mrs. Simpson’s preschool classes had a spooktacular time celebrating Halloween today! The children made their very own spider hats and looked adorable wearing them. They also played a fun game of Ring Around the Spider, laughed with friends, and enjoyed all the festive Halloween excitement. It was a wonderful day full of creativity, giggles, and Halloween fun!
Mrs. Simpson’s preschool classes explored pumpkins this week! Each class made predictions about what they thought was inside the pumpkin — some friends guessed candy, seeds, or even a surprise! We also estimated how many seeds we might find before carefully opening the pumpkin to check our guesses.

📗PJHS students and families! This week, PJHS students received a copy of the bookmark and book cover contest requirements, as well as bookmark cardstock and book cover cardstock. Students and their families can choose to make a bookmark, a new book cover, or BOTH! Be sure to pay close attention to the requirements and submit your art work to your homeroom teacher by Friday, October 31 to be entered to win a prize to share with the family!🏆

Congratulations to Madison Wilkins and Kadence Rochkes for running a PR at Saturday's Regional XC Meet in Shelbyville. Madison ran a 17-second PR. Kadence ran a 38-second PR and improved her time by 1:08 minute for the season.
Kadence also qualified for the Sectional XC Meet at Lake Land College this Saturday, November 1st. Congratulations girls!

We are excited to host the first round playoff game at Pana High School on Saturday (11/1/25) at 1:00 versus Bismarck-Henning (BHRA). Below are a couple of things to consider as we prepare for this weekend.
Tickets: All ticket sales will be done digitally using GoFan. The IHSA will release the ticket links this afternoon and we will post them on the school's social media outlets soon after that.
Gates: The gates will open at 11:30 on Saturday and there are no reserving seats ahead of time. In the interest of fairness to all fans, reserving seats for this event is prohibited.
