Mrs. Simpson's classes want to thank Mrs. Schafer for sharing some of her sunflowers with us. The students got to use tweezers and magnifying glasses to inspect the sunflowers in our Science area.









Last week, Mr. Schmitz's 7th grade science class had an unforgettable experience exploring air pressure! 🌡️🔥 They heated an aluminum can and watched in awe as it was flipped upside down into cold water. 🤔💧


PES highlighted the importance of empathy in September. Students and staff members who demonstrated exceptional empathy were honored for their ability to put themselves in others' shoes.

Every morning, Mr. Metzger is in the parking lot directing traffic , rain or shine, greeting students and their grown-up with a friendly wave.

Many 5th graders enjoy using the Cricut machine to create personalized gifts. These students were diligently crafting birthday cutouts for the other students at PES.



5th grade Art students at Pana Elementary School worked together to make a collaborative art piece to hang outside the Art room door. They did a fantastic job!



Six year old Molly and 10 year old Howard from the novel The Kid in the Red Jacket greeted 4th graders this morning! It was such a fun way to start our novel study!


SAVE THE DATE: PJHS is having a Scholastic Book Fair Oct. 7-10. The Book Fair will be open during Parent-Teacher Conferences on October 10.


A reminder to Pana CUSD parents and students that tomorrow, Wednesday, September 25th, we will dismiss 3 hours early.

Reading stations are a great way for our 5th graders to practice their reading skills. They're working on a variety of activities today. Stations included IXL, vocabulary Jenga, theme, and reading warm-up.

Rainy days and Mondays won't stop us from having fun! Our students enjoyed running and practicing their catching skills in the gym today.
