Washington and Lincoln Schools' Mrs. Fields fundraiser items will be delivered Thursday, October 27! Please be prepared to pick up your child's items between 3:15-6:00 that evening at Washington School. Spread the word!


Last Tuesday, Mr. Pierce's Communication class had the opportunity to visit the EIU campus in Charleston. They visited EIU's broadcasting department and got a behind the scences tour of their newscast. We can't wait for them to try out their new skills here at PJHS!


Friday playoff football:
IHSA sets admission price and it is $5 per person.
Also the gates will be locked until 5pm Friday night. Any bleachers or chairs having stuff sitting on them as a holding spot will be removed and seats will be first come first serve once the gates open.

Washington School is full of Super Heroes for Red Ribbon Week!



Sue Ade (former English teacher at Pana High School) is writing a book about the experiences of Irene McCary who lived in Lithuania during WWII. Last week, 7th & 8th students had the opportunity to hear Irene's incredible story.


Be sure to catch the High School volleyball team in action on Tuesday as they travel to Salem to play in the 2nd round of regionals. Game time will be 7pm and if you can’t make the trip down, feel free to listen on 93.3, the home of Panthers Sports.

Mrs. King’s class doing Ms. Hahnenkamp’s spider web STEM project. They are building the most inexpensive web that holds the most flies.


Friday night lights are back in action as the post season gets underway.
Pana Panthers will host the Auburn Trojans on Friday October 28th at 7pm. Tailgate starts at 5pm when gates open and fans from both teams are welcome.

Yesterday was a great day to be a Panther! In addition to celebrating 30 football, cheer, band and color guard seniors, the football team beat Carlinville for win #8. Go Panthers!




Mrs. King’s class had a chicken visit us today! He kind of looked like Mr. Metzger! 😉 We also had Flashlight Friday, and Miss Katie planned a super fun Science lesson.




The construction class practiced measuring and drafting today.




Thursday the Ag Business class toured Nohren’s Hardware, Sloans and GSI.

Mr. Metzger had to dress up as a chicken today because Lincoln School beat the PTO goal!
Also, 15 students got to throw water balloons at the chicken (Mr. Metzger).
The entire school also chanted “KFC” to the dismay of the chicken! 🍗





Today we celebrated the PTO fundraiser challenge... PTO challenged the kids to raise more funds than they did last year, and if they did- Mrs. Wysong promised to dress up like a chicken and the top sellers got to bomb her with water balloons!!

PHS Craft students are currently working on Nail-String Art Sculptures. It is not easy planning, hammering, designing, and gluing their projects together. These are cool! Keep up the good work!

Pana Jr High students took home their Fall Fundraising packets on Wednesday. They are selling cinnamon rolls from the Homestead bakery in Arthur, 2023 Cardinals calendars, and Jr High Panther spirit wear.
