Mrs. King's students learned about engineering protective containers, Gravity, Drag, & Structure of Eggs for this STEM egg drop challenge. They were given a few supplies to work with. STEM = learning+ fun. Many eggs survived the indoor drop & out the 3rd floor window drop. There were NO failures, but tons of fun & learning.

For the 2nd consecutive year, Lincoln School is proud to announce that we have been recognized as a Capturing Kids Hearts NATIONAL SHOWCASE SCHOOL! There were only 468 schools in the nation that were recognized. This recognition speaks volumes to the time, energy, effort, and love that our staff pours into our students on a daily basis! Be on the lookout for an upcoming video from where we announced this achievement to our students, staff, and families!

4th graders in Mrs. Sloan's class reviewed their math skills by Bowling with Bolt. Students drove Bolt to knock down pins. First they had to multiply the numbers on the pins each turn for 4 rounds. Then they added those products to see their total amount knocked down and finally divided to get their average score.

Tuesday Animal Science class had the opportunity to tour Borgic Farms - producing sow farm with 10,000 head on site in Nokomis area and later Bauman's Dairy Farm, local family farm. Borgics students got to experience wash-in, wash-out Biosecurity measures to reduce the chance of disease on the facility. They were able to see the breeding to weaning process, watch sows be breed through AI process, helped sleeve a sow and assist in pulling a piglet and held some pigs that were one day away from weaning. Bauman's they learned more about the ins and outs of raising dairy cattle and the sanitation and required in the dairy industry, as well as the overall health of each cow. It was a great day and we are thankful for Borgics and Bauman's for having us!

The Pana High School Bass Fishing club travelled to Sangchris lake on Thursday May 4th to compete in the state sectional bass tournament. Though the fishing was a bit rough the kids had a good time and learned a lot. We would also like to thank all the sponsors for their support and assistant coaches for all their time and effort this year.
