The graduating seniors spent a fun day in St. Louis for their senior trip.
Good Deeds Group members enjoyed making blankets and giving them to our friends at Hickory Estates.
On May 9th, Ms. Hahnenkamp along with three fifth grade students, represented Lincoln School at the Students for Innovation Advocacy Day at the Illinois State Capitol. They showcased "Cricut Brings Us Together" to Senator McClure, Representative Halbrook, and other attendees.
Mrs. Mathis' 4th graders competed in a Hot Wheels challenge! Each team had to design a track that they thought would give their chosen car the most distance! The winning team's car traveled 18 feet, 1 inch!

"Navigating the Digital Seas our Students & Children Explore"
Our students and children are sailing through pretty choppy waters in the digital seas. Amid digital learning and consumption rigors, many young people are under unprecedented mental pressure. Even the typical challenges of youth and adolescence are magnified online, making it much harder to find a safe harbor.
How can we effectively address some of these stressors? What role can technology play in supplying that relief? How do we help our children thrive digitally and keep them safe online?
Join us as we chart technology's profound impact on today's students and their developing brains. On this voyage, we'll explore what and how digital media, social media, computer literacy, and AI intersect with today's youth's daily lives. Along the way, we'll uncover how to empower our children in their digital and oxygenated lives.

Animal Science class learned and practice proper restraint on dogs this week. Students checked vitals for pulse rate, respiratory rate and rectal temperature for overall health evaluation. They did well with our four legged visitors.

Ms. Henkel discovered that some of her Intro to Art high school art students did not know what a "Marble Run," was. A plastic toy marble run set was brought into PHS for inspiration along with a youtube video. 4th hour art students are working in groups together to create custom cardboard-plastic-duct tape marble run mazes. Exploratory Ag has been working on projects in the woodshop. Last week they finished their flag projects. They got to choose how to decorate theirs once they were assembled.
We have a second project in the works, be keeping your eyes out for the next one!
Mrs. King’s class became chicken parents last week. They had a total of 15 eggs hatch! Thank you to the University of Illinois Extension Offie and our AG Lady, Rebecca Niemeier for providing the eggs.
Shout-out to these two boys for staying and helping clean up after the music concert last week! They helped move chairs and pack items up. We appreciate your help!

Mrs. Perry had Glow Day last week in 6th grade math. Students were up and moving as they work together to complete math stations. Mrs. Perry is always looking for ways to add some fun to her class!
