
The PJHS First Lego League Competition group has been working on a community-oriented project to help families shop locally by use of a Caroline’s Cart. The students raised over $2000 dollars to purchase one of these carts, which will be available for use soon at Save-a-Lot. The team received donations from the Methodist Church and community members. Thanks to all who made this happen!



The 8th grade Cheerleading Team was recognized at 8th Grade Night on Tuesday, January 21st. Best wishes to this group as they move on to high school!

Ms Hahnenkamp’s students were beyond thrilled to have tech rotations today. Pizza co group earned a new oven, circuit group made the light turn on, many jams created, & Dash was making figure 8’s.





Mrs Micenheimer and Annie came to teach Ms Hahnenkamp’s class about our organs. Kids were naming organs in our body and learning about their jobs.




PHS students got to preview a CEO class in Taylorville today. Wonder what amazing businesses they’ll develop in the future!


Earth science students made underwater volcanoes in class on Friday.


PJHS had a water main leak in the front parking lot. The crew has worked hard to repair it but we need your help to proceed cautiously at drop off and pick up! Thank you for your care and patience!

Ms Hahnenkamp’s class has been reading about penguins. This week they had the chance to watch two 360 videos about Antarctica to observe them in their natural habitat.


Ms Hahnenkamp’s class has been working in learning communities during math. They take turns explaining their work to the others in their communities.





Ms Hahnenkamp’s class did a STEM challenge to see who could build the tallest stand alone tower using all their materials. A marshmallow had to be on top & it had to hold a weight for 10 seconds. We had 1 winner.
