Thank you to the Ag in the Classroom program. Mrs. Schmitz’s class got to be scientists today. We learned about why soil is important and searched for items hidden in their soil containers using tweezers and magnifying glasses.

Mrs. LaMarche's 1st grade class had fun being soil scientists today! We found bugs, sand, leaves, sticks, and rocks in our soil! A big thanks goes to Ms. Livingston and the Ag in the Classroom program!

Do you like green eggs and ham? Mrs Morrell’s Second Grade class found out today. They were challenged to find the 50 different words Dr. Seuss used in his book.

Friday afternoon had Ms Hahnenkamp’s class collaborating during reading-recounting story event and author’s purpose. They rocked it!

Ms Hahnenkamp’s class has enjoyed having so many others come in to teach us about OrganWise, self-control & coping skills, reducing our trash, and big machines on the farm. Wow, it’s been a busy week!

Ms Hahnenkamp’s class began the day with a Would You Rather activity and defending their choice.

Technology Day in First Grade with Mrs. Jones! Students got to use robots in the classroom. A few 2nd graders visited to teach us! We ended the day with some robot creations of our own!

Mrs. Crawford’s class had a great Technology Day! We went on a virtual field trip undersea in a submarine, created robots out of recycled materials, and learned how to control real robots! Thank you Mrs. Hannenkamp for letting us borrow 2 experts to teach us how to use them! 🤖

Students in Sloan/Metzger 4th grade co-taught math were able to understand fractions using fraction manipulatives purchased by the district through the “In the Trenches” program!

Mrs. Schmitz’s class had a busy morning. They were math detectives working to solve The Great Zoo Escape. They had to do math problems to solve secret codes. We had so much fun!
