PHS Craft students created moving vehicles through various materials and art supplies. This group had a lot of fun creating the vehicles of motion. Some groups even helped one another. All had fun for the last few weeks of class. #staycreative🖍️ #art🎨 #panthers🐾

Mr Bowker, Mr Lipe and Mr McKinney's classes had the chance to hit the links🏌🏻♂️⛳️ Great day of golfing.

Graduation seating reminder: Family of graduates who possess a ticket will enter the E2 doors located next to the visitor parking lot on the East side of the high school starting at 6:00pm. General admission will begin at 6:15pm through the main doors near the circle drive.
Mrs. Schafer and Mrs. Keeling teamed up and created a key events sequencing activity for the book Findle. Students had to put the events in order to drive the robots without running into a road block. We were impressed and proud of how hard this class worked, they even had some fun!

Yesterday the Pana Bass fishing team competed at Sangchris Lake . Both teams did great with the team of Aaron Moss and Huntley Virden advancing to the sectional championship on Springfield Lake next week for a chance to compete in the State tournament.

Monday 5/12, Mrs Ruppert's Animal Science class toured Borgic Farms in Nokomis that is housed on 9 acres. Borgics produced 450,000 pigs per year, has 16,000 sows total between 2 sites. They breed 60-80 head per day and ship their weaned pigs off to 56 different finishing sites. Students experienced the wash-in, wash-out biosecurity for the farm to practice health management for all pigs on site. They learned more about breeding techniques, body scoring for bred animals, gestation and farrowing care, along with Borgics overall business and feeding management of all sites. They had the opportunity to watch some piglets be born, Noah was brave enough to help pull one even! They definitely enjoyed holding the piglets at the end.

We really appreciate Mrs. Miller taking the time to visit us at the State Capitol for Students for Innovation Advocacy Day! We enjoyed the opportunity to showcase how we're using coding with our robots in the classroom.

Congratulations to the Class of 2025 Music Department Seniors! Congratulations also to Gabby Heinrich for being awarded the National School Choral Award and to Madison Walter for being awarded the John Phillip Sousa Band Award! These are the highest honors that can be earned by high school musicians. Thank you to our community for the continued support of music in our schools!

Congratulations to our amazing PJHS students who conquered their annual 5K yesterday! These students in our 5K elective class have been working hard all 4th quarter to reach this goal. This year's run was in support of the Tanner Jacobs Foundation. Tanner Jacobs has held our 5K record since 2014-2015! We are so grateful for the incredible support from our students, staff, parents, and community who cheered everyone on. Thank you to Mrs. Keeling, Mr. Butler, and Mrs. Schutt for their commitment to training alongside our students. And a big thank you to Ron Jacobs and the Tanner Jacobs Foundation for your support of our PJHS students. 🏃♀️🏃♂️
