We are pleased to inform you that Pana School District #8 will be implementing a new option available to schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Program called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the FY24 School year.
What does this mean for families and the students attending Pana Schools?
This is good news for you and your students. All enrolled students at Pana Community Unit School District #8 are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at the school at NO CHARGE each day that meals are served throughout school year. No further action is required of you. Your child (children) will be able to participate in this meal program without having to pay a fee or submitting an application.
However, please be advised that students who go back for seconds or who wish to eat a la carte items will be charged for those items separately on their meal account. Please contact your child’s school office if you have any additional questions.
