Pana Unit 8 is currently in the process of adopting a new motto that is reflective of the mission statement: Working in partnership, PCUSD 8, students, parents and community members will each do his or her part to ensure learning and success. Because we value your input and because we want you involved, we would greatly appreciate your vote for a new motto for the district. To vote on line, on the lower left side you will find the mottos. Click on the motto you think best reflects our new mission statement and  then click vote. You will then be able to see the online voting percentages. Please note that you can only vote once. You may also obtain a ballot and vote at any of the schools in the district. Friday Night Variety Show Cancelled | Saturday Variety Show Still On

The Pana Boys Basketball team won the first sectional game on Wednesday, March 4th and will be playing in Nashville on Friday, March 5th. The Variety Show scheduled for Friday, March 5th has been cancelled. The Saturday Night Variety Show for March 6th is still on schedule. The Jr. High and High School Band and Choruses will not perform, they will be performing their songs at the Spring Concert. read more

Pana Jr High Announces ISAT Testing Information

February 17, 2010 Dear PJHS Parent/Guardian: During the first part of March, specifically March 2, 3, 4, 9, and 10, PHJS students will be taking the Illinois Standards Achievement Tests (ISAT).  Our students will be given eight (8) different tests that explore their knowledge in the areas of Math (3 test sessions at both grade levels), Reading (3 test sessions at both grade levels), Science (2 tests sessions at 7th grade only) and Writing (2 test sessions at 8th grade only).   As a parent/guardian, a wonderful resource that you can access on the Internet is the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) website . . . read more
